Alex’s Story

Alex was struggling to find his “group” amongst his school peers. He has a passion for robotics and has an engineering mind, so connecting with others who share his interests was important to his family. His father consistently put effort into signing Alex up for youth-based community STEM programs of all types, but all online.

His parents tried soon realized Alex was missing person-to-person interaction and the ability to form peer group relationships. Upon discovering the local Hall-Monroe STEM program, Alex’s father knew he had found the perfect fit. With support from The TGB Foundation, this STEM program exposes kids to the thrill of building and programming through robotics to further their interest in technology. Alex regularly attends the STEM and Robotics sessions and participates in group field trips organized by the program.
